Pros: It' great mobo for what you pay. Runs great with AMD 64 bits on daul channel ram. Great BIOS options. Has very nice big gap between the AGP the PCI.
Cons: Beware of memory choosing as you'll know when windows will give you that nice big BLUE Screen
Other Thoughts: Nice mobo, thought smart about making big gap on AGP slot as the graphics card usually have huge HSF unit on them.
Pros: I have always love ECS and this mobo has not changed that. This board was easy to install has a nice layout, its a bit tight in places but thats not much of a problem. The board is made to take full advantage of the overclockability of the AMD 64. and the chipset give you control of the graphics and memory overclocking. ECS is one of the best choises for a great mobo at a low cost!!!
Cons: had a few bugs untell I went to Nvidia and downloaded there drivers for the chipset. But I exspect this with every mobo I have ever got.
Pros: Inexpensive
939, nForce and AGP
2000Mhz. HyperTransport
ECS Website (nicely laid out)
Smaller size
Cons: Limited Overclocking Options
Purple PCB
Two Memory Slots
SATA Connector Location
Buggy LAN
Other Thoughts: Overall this board has done me well. Just be sure to get the latest BIOS before you load your OS and turn off AGP Fast Writes if you are using a 6800(Go read the many forums on nForce3/6800 combo). The BIOS is functional but limited on overclocking options. The LAN didn't work for me at all and when disabled through windows it crashed (had to disable in BIOS). The purple PCB is just unsightly. Given all its faults this board has been pretty stable for me. Overall this is one of the better options if you want AGP, nForce and socket 939.
Pros: Had no problems with this board at all. Runs SATA, decent overclocking ability, very stable, blazing performance with my WD Raptor (Drive is 75% full and WinXP Pro still boots like it was a fresh install). Actually has a cooling method for the chipset (heatsink), everything is spaced out well so wires can be out of the way.
Cons: Could use more fan headers, but most fans don't need a mobo header so not a big deal. Not a ton of BIOS options but for the average user and even a power user you will be ok. Higher end mobos will give you more settings to break things with.
Other Thoughts: Great motherboard for the price, I see no reason to spend more, this chipset is far superior to the Via KT chipset available for 754. I switched to this from the alternate chipset (ECS 755-A2) and my Aquamark score improved 3500 points with NO OTHER HARDWARE/SOFTWARE changes whatsoever and my boot/load times reduced dramatically. Very impressed overall, BUY THIS MOBO, it rocks!
![1.0a 1.0a](http://www.rom.by/files/46892_v06_b.jpg)
Pros: This is a very stable motherboard. I only want to upgrade the CPU and motherboard only because I still want to use my ATI X850 AGP video card. Everything runs perfect. I may try to upgrade the hard drive to SATA if I have extra money.
Cons: If the motherboard has a giga lan, it will be perfect. It's for my data transfer with the other system.
Other Thoughts: So far, it's OK for me. IF you don't want to pay reasonable price for the motherboard, this is the choice
Pros: Just got the free AMD 64 CPU from my friend. First time try to use ECS motherboard. So far so good. Good performance with my $60 AGP video card.
Cons: CPU temperatuer is pretty high at the beginning. Flashing iwth the latest BIOS seems fix this issue.
Other Thoughts: ECS is not bad for me with this reasonable price. I will try ECS again.
Pros: -very cheap
-good performance
-good overclocking(not many voltage options)
-SATA support

Cons: -very finiky with certain types of ram i suggest you get your ram of their suggested list.
-northbridge cooler runs very hot
-temerature reading is very incorrect and displays atleast 25degs celcius over the normal temps.
Other Thoughts: this is a great budget board and you get what you pay for, after i finnaly got my ram to work with the board its been 100,000.000% stable, my 3200+venice oc'ed to 3800 no problems.
Pros: Good price but not really worth it in the long run.
Cons: Temp sensor shot right out of the box. Reads 65c on a new retail boxed 3200+. Reinstalling the heatsink/fan several times helped nothing. I updated the bios to the latest one on ECS's website but still reads 65c idle temps.
Other Thoughts: The onboard lan is flakey as well. The computer hard locks and restarts everytime I try to install the latest Nvidia chipset drivers everytime it gets to the installing the lan drivers part and detects the lan card - WHAM - hard lock and restart. First motherboard I ever had that did this out of several hundred Nvidia chipset boards I've used over the years. I finally kept messing with just installing just the lan drivers and got them to finally take but you shouldn't have to baby a motherboard like that. This one is going back for a refund. No more ECS motherboards for me.
